I tried uninstalling Reaper and removing all remaining files, including from appData/Roaming/Reaper dir, then reinstalling. Both refer to larger programs that can record and sequence audio and MIDI information, as well as provide input and output functions for MIDI and audio streams. Usually a virtual instrument is used as a plug-in inside of host software or a DAW. It's all 64bit, Win 10, Reaper and the VSTs. A virtual instrument takes MIDI input and provides audio (sound) as an output. If your interface has a volume dial, make sure this is turned down to the minimum. Connect the inputs on your speakers to the outputs on your interface. Make sure your monitor speakers are switched off before connecting the audio cables between your speakers and audio interface. The same VSTs also work fine from Traction's T7 DAW on the same Win 10 system. Connecting headphones and speakers to your audio interface. The stand-alone versions of the instruments work fine to produce audio outside of Reaper. I create a midi track, add some notes in the piano roll and play over them, but no sound. Nothing is getting through to the master channel or even getting to the VST's own output meter (in the case of SynthMaster One, which has a meter on its GUI).

Imported audio tracks play fine from Reaper, but can't get any audio out from a VST instrument. The Fan and vent holes are part of the cooling system of the amp. You can reduce the output of the amp by selecting the 2 mode on the rear panel (by the SpeakON output jack).

Be sure that your speaker cabinet is able to deliver that power.

Tried using all the Windows driver options for the motherboard's Realtek audio headphone out as well as the ASIO driver for my MixPre 6 with latest drivers and firmware.

The AlphaВ·Omega 900 can deliver more than 900 Watts.

Having some trouble getting Reaper to work, since updating to v6.03 from v5.9 (which worked fine).
